Ashish Mhaske
Research Area:
Antenna Technology
Bio:
I am a doctoral researcher at the Kavli Institute of Cosmology, University of Cambridge. I have a Masters degree in embedded systems and a Bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunication. I worked at the Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, where I was involved in radio astronomy and gravitational wave detector instrumentation. At IUCAA, I worked on various aspects of astronomy instrumentation and astrophysics. I have worked on neutral hydrogen astrophysics, designed L-band radiometers for galactic neutral hydrogen observations, and on optical cavities and control systems for laser interferometers. In the context of the GLITTER project, I am working on the front-end antenna design, implementing modern antenna technologies like metasurfaces to achieve the stringent requirements of the grazing angle GNSS-R.
